Montreux, Switzerland

The 20th Annual Meeting of the European Dermatology Forum (EDF) was held in Montreux, Switzerland from the 19–21 January 2017. The meeting represents a highlight in the annual calendar of key opinion leaders in dermatology across Europe since it combines a rich program of scientific updates and health politics together with an ideal opportunity for constructive networking.

“This is a big year for the EDF: it’s our 20th anniversary. The EDF is based on interacting, think tanks, trying to defend the interests of our specialty and trying to develop strategies so we are well positioned in the future. The aims of the meetings are that we interact and discuss our problems or the problems of the future and we try to come up with ways of addressing these problems together.” Lars French, EDF President.

The EDF is a non-profit organisation founded in 1997, which is dedicated to advancing dermatology and improving healthcare for dermato-venereology patients across Europe (http://www.euroderm.org/edf).
The EDF has 200 active members all of whom are heads of academic departments and key opinion leaders in dermatology. Furthermore, senior members (retired professors) and corporate members from pharmaceutical industries and other organisations all together build up a huge platform of knowledge, experience and visions for exchange and networking.
