Euroderm Excellence is the European Dermatology Forum’s course for final-year residents in dermato-venereology. Selected by EDF country coordinators, the best residents from across Europe spend four days with leading experts in lectures and hands-on workshops covering the most important and novel topics of dermatological practice and science.

Four hands-on workshops
Small-group workshops over two days. Every participant attends all four.

Residents submit questions to the speakers in advance and answer questions on every session in the Euroderm Excellence app.
A European peer network
A networking reception and dinner bring residents together with peers from all over Europe.
Diploma and Top 10 ceremony
The ten participants with the best results in the app are honored at the closing ceremony.

How to take part
From nomination to Rome
Residents in the final year of their training who have not applied before are selected by the EDF-appointed coordinator in their country. Dates shown are from the 2026 cycle.
2 - End of July
Selection
Country coordinators select residents. Applicants are notified individually.
3 - By August 24
Confirm
Accepted residents confirm participation on the registration portal.
4 - By September
Send questions
Residents send their questions for the speakers.
5 - November
Attend
Four days of lectures, workshops and networking.

All course information is available on eurodermexcellence.com. During the course, participants use the Euroderm Excellence app: after each session they answer questions on its content. The ten participants with the best results are honored at the Top 10 ceremony on the final day.

About the project
An EDF program for the next generation of opinion leaders
Participating in EDF Euroderm Excellence is a privilege. The course gives selected residents the chance to share time and experience with peers from all over Europe and to learn directly from the leading experts in dermatology and venereology.

The program is supported by independent sponsorships from Eli Lilly Export S.A. and LEO Pharma. The sponsors have no influence on the content, speaker selection or scientific program. Based on French and Spanish legal restrictions, French and Spanish residents are supported exclusively by the EDF.
