Join Europe's leaders in dermato-venereology.

The European Dermatology Forum brings together around 200 active members across 30 European countries — heads of department, high-profile research group leaders and leaders of education programs. Membership is open to established leaders in the field, proposed by two EDF members.

Step 1 — Nomination

Be proposed by two EDF members

  • Proposed by two members of the EDF.

  • The two proposers must be from different European countries.

  • Either the proposer or the seconder may share the candidate's country.

  • Active involvement in EDF activities is expected of every member — for example through the EDF Contributor Program.

Supporting statements

What your proposers confirm

The proposer and the seconder each provide a short supporting statement (e-mail or letter) that includes:

  • The nominee's standing in and contribution to dermatology, both nationally and internationally

  • The nominee's expertise and added value to the EDF

Positions held, prizes, notable invited lectures, grants, positions in national and international societies, honorary memberships, total number of PubMed articles, top 10 papers of the last 10 years, and H-index (Google Scholar).

How applications are reviewed

Membership applications are assessed once per year.

Stage 1

Board assessment

The EDF Board of Directors assesses all applications once per year.

Stage 2 — January

General Assembly

Supported applications are formally proposed and approved during the General Assembly.

Stage 3 — February

Notification

Applicants are officially notified of the outcome.

Stage 4 — February

Once your application has been approved we are asking you to contribute EDF program to choose a package
